Senior DevOps Engineer

IAI is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to support the cybersecurity DevOps teams for a project at DHS that is being used by every Federal civilian agency. This is an important project for our company and will be a resume builder for you. This position will require on site presence – after COVID restrictions are lifted – in Fairfax, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, containerization solutions and experience with Infrastructure automation (with tools like CloudFormation or Ansible). Job Duties:

  • Develop and manage the automated build system, automated deployment system, continuous integration environment, and continuous test environment for a suite of open source/COTS product configurations and custom code.
  • Provide digital transformation and rapid deployment value to our internal teams.

Education, Knowledge, and Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s preferred
  • DevOps – 5 years required
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with software such as source control (Git/GitHub), continuous build/delivery (Jenkins), software quality tools (SonarQube), artifact repositories (Nexus), issue management (Jira), documentation/ collaboration (Confluence), automated testing (Selenium), and deployment of infrastructure or configurations (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
  • Experience with the Linux Red Hat operating system
  • Experience with containerization solutions such as Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift
  • Experience with Infrastructure automation using CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
  • Strong expertise in scripting and managing custom deployments
  • Strong expertise with identification of controlled artifacts (configuration items) and implementation of standard CM control processes
  • Understanding of deployment methodologies that reduce downtime
  • Have a strong desire for learning new technologies and finding solutions to problems
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other teammates
  • Intermediate level expertise and in system architecture and engineering disciplines
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and strong work ethic that is proactive and self-motivated
  • Experience in product release planning and associated deliverable tracking

It is a plus if you have:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Experience of the cyber security domain including: governance and risk management, compliance, business continuity and disaster recovery, encryption, software development security, access control, network security / secure architecture, and security operations
  • Relevant AWS Certifications
  • SAFe DevOps Certification
  • Familiarity with DoD STIGs, SRGs, etc.
  • Experience working in a Federal Government IT environment and DHS Suitability
  • Cloud workload experience (Amazon Web Services, Azure, etc.)
